My cousin sis got married yesterday. It is said , " A great marriage doesn't happen because of love you had in the beginning but how well you continue building love until the end".

Marriage is a promise couples give each other to stay together with each other for one another with love, understanding, respect and care.

Its a beautiful relation between the two that makes marriages successful.

Ever thought what the 7 pheras in Hindu marriage signifies?

1. To nourish each other.

Which means Let us vow to share food with each other. Here basic need is promised to each other where couple take responsibility to fulfil once stomach and give them a happy heart.

2. To grow together in strength.

Which says Let us vow to be strong together. Be it any situation or any hurdle we promise to be strong together, be each other's strength. Life is full of challenges where we might have to face them and come out with flying colours and if we have a support system with us we surely gain success . so here, our partners promise us to be our strength.

3. To have wealth & prosperity .

Which says Let us vow to be wealthy together. Here couples give meaning to their life and set a goal of living a life of luxury and wealth. Female become Men's luck and Male wins the outer world and makes wealth. Where in today's world both are striving for wealth which is a plus point in any relation . Where both become each others support & earn and contribute for the happy & comfortable life. And wealth is not only considered monetarily but it is an abundance of valuable possession.

4.To have wisdom.

Which says Let us vow to be happy together. Wisdom is the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement; the quality of being wise. Which means to be understanding, calm and sensible in judging any situation or having knowledge of how to co-operate with each other with understanding & care. that leads to a strong relation and a happy life.

5.To take care of Children & Parents.

Which says Let us vow to have children together & promise each other to take care of children. Also see to it that our parents are also being taken care of . With marriage comes all the relationships that are important in husband wife's life. and most important for both of them are Parents & Children.

6.To grow with a healthy life.

Which says Let us vow to be comfortable together and have a healthy life . Here a healthy marriage is considered & promise is taken to be taking care of each others health & of a healthy relationship.

7. To remain friends for lifelong.

Which says Let us vow to be friends of each other. Friendship is a relationship which gives us so much happiness, comfort and freedom. Freedom to be ourself. So couples vow to be friends for life. So comfort & happiness is taken care of .
